Important things to know
You have 10 days from receiving your results to book a retake. If you miss this window, the option expires and you would need to take a full new ELLT.
The retake is a completely new assessment. Your new score could be higher or lower, and it will fully replace the original score.
If the updated score affects your overall profile, your CEFR level will be adjusted accordingly.
These skills are closely connected in the assessment. Retaking them together ensures a fair and accurate evaluation of your productive English skills.
The Speaking retake includes a live interview, following standard ELLT rules.
- Results follow standard ELLT marking times(Writing & Speaking may take slightly longer – usually within 48 business hours if everything is in order).
- Universities can view updated results via the Oxford ELLT Partner Portal.
- We recommend you also send your updated certificate to your university or admissions agent.
If you experience any technical issues during your retake, contact Oxford ELLT Support immediately with screenshots or details. Terms and Conditions apply if a module needs to be reset.
If your results have been withheld for any reason then you cannot retake a single skill but will need to redo the whole test.
